After 18 years, I've stopped asking only "what does the buyer want?"
I now also ask: "what kind of buyer do we want?"
Here's what we look for:
Buyers who treat their factory's calendar
as part of their own planning.
Buyers who flag a forecast change
before it becomes a panic.
Buyers who read the QC report,
not just the shipping date.
Buyers who say "let's solve this together"
when something goes wrong —
because something always will.
We don't need every order.
We need the right partnerships.
Manufacturers come and go.
True partners are hard to find — on both sides.
What's one thing you wish your factory understood about you?
