Sourcing teams ask about MOQ, lead time, certifications.
Few ask the question that actually predicts the next 3 years:
"How does this factory communicate when something goes wrong?"
Because something will.
A fabric mill will miss a dye lot.
A test report will need rerunning.
A buyer will change a trim two weeks late.
In those moments,
the real product isn't the garment.
It's the email reply.
Is it within hours, or radio silence for two days?
Is it honest, or does it hide the problem until shipment?
Does it offer a fix, or just an excuse?
After 18 years in this industry,
I've come to believe:
A factory's communication culture
is its actual quality control.
The garment is downstream of that.
